Dr. Ignacio Tan
Dr. Ignacio Tan grew up around animals and deeply values the bond that all humans and animals share. It is this love that inspires him to provide care for all the animals that come through his clinic. If he can use his expertise to give you a few more days or a few more years with your pets he will. Among his love for animals is a love for business he is always coming up with new ideas and the next big thing! When he isn’t in the clinic he is spending time with his family, his wife Amanda, and three children Fort, Amelie, and Nahum. Dr. Tan enjoys the great Canadian outdoors and traveling and getting lost in foreign places.
Internal Operations Manager
Jomar Cabiles is the internal operations manager for all of our clinics here in Edmonton. He accidentally found his love for this field when he started as a client services representative and as he got more experienced he moved into a position with more responsibility. Although by accident looking back now he is grateful and proud of the work he now does. He enjoys getting to work with all the techs, vets, and support staff as well getting to work with all the animals. When he is not working Jomar loves driving to the mountains and spending time there with his husband Ted and 6 year old Husky Cross.
Mackenzie T is our head tech at Edmonton South. Mackenzie entered the animal profession because of her love of animals and wanted the opportunity to advocate for them. When She isn’t at work, She enjoys going camping, playing slow pitch, travelling, and spending time with my boyfriend, lovely daughter and dogs. She has 2 dogs, a Rottweiler named Kali and a rescue dog named Frederick who is quite the handful.
Danielle G has been our longest tech on staff. She is a technician at Edmonton South Animal Hospital. She works in the animal hospitals because she always wanted to work with animals, and in doing so is able to advocate for their rights and elevate patient care. When she isn’t providing amazing service in hospital she can be found hiking, biking, volunteering at the local animal rescue and spending time with her family.
Jodie is a customer specialist at our Edmonton South Location. She started working with animals because she really enjoys caring for and learning about them. Everyday is different when you work at a clinic and it keeps her work interesting! When she isn’t at work she can be found rock climbing, singing in the choir and at home relaxing with Ben the beagle and Mya her cat.
Dr. Shereen obtained her Bachelor Degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2004. She moved to Canada with her husband and two handsome boys in 2011. Her love and passion for animals inspired her to challenge and pass all of her board exams. While she was doing this she practiced in emergency and small animal clinics. Her strongest belief is to give the best medical care to all animals and to treat every animal as her own. She has a special interest in surgeries, endocrinology, and dermatology. In her spare time she enjoys spending quality time with her family.
Jessica S is a registered tech at Mercy Animal Hospital. She entered the profession because she has loved animal her whole life. When she isn’t at work she is working on many different types of crafts. From sewing, drawing and even clay work, she also enjoys camping. Currently she doesn’t have any pets, but that is only because she isn’t allowed any where she lives, if she could have some though she says she would have a couple cats and dogs!

Jennifer W is our VMA/Office manager at Mercy Animal Hospital. She chose the animal world because she has always loved them, she also enjoys science and medicine so it seemed like a good fit. When she isn’t at work Jen can be found reading, spending time with family, and cooking. She has three dogs at home, Penny, Bruno, and Gus
Audrey L is a medical assistant at Mercy Animal Hospital and she got into the veterinary world because she enjoys the fact that no day is ever the same. When she isn’t a work she can be found reading a good book or relaxing. Currently she has no pets, but that’s likely to change, it always does for anyone in this profession.
Suzanne is a medical assistant at Mercy Animal Hospital. She graduated from the Veterinary Assistant Program in Lawrence College, Newfoundland in 2004 and has been working in a clinic setting ever since. She has a mini doodle named Lulu and a blue throat conure named Larry. In her spare time you can usually find Suzanne out gardening, hiking trails, or camping.
Terra Losa Animal Clinic
Client Specialist/Vet Assistant
Nicole is both a Client Specialist and Vet Assistant. She has loved animals her whole life and so she thought she would make a career out of it. When she isn’t at work she is at home cuddling with her animals. It seems she can’t get enough of them, she has 3 cats Sandy Bigalow Patterson (yes it has a middle and a last name) Sophie, Miles, and a rabbit named Micheal Hat.
Ashley Bolman is a Client Specialist at Terra Losa and got into the clinic because she has worked with animals her entire life and has a deep love for all animals exotics in particular. When she isn’t at work she can be found at live music venues, or at home relaxing with her playstation and her pets. Her pets include Kevin the Senegel, Pepsi and Nuka Cola the rabbits, Orange Juice the Pig and Luigi the water dragon.
Prime Vet Corporation
Paul Zien is the accounting supervisor for all the animal hospitals. He entered the profession because he see’s helping the animal clinics save lives as something that is very important to him, and to the animals owners. When he is not at work he can be found long distance running, reading, and woodworking.
Susanna Chow works in the accounting department, she entered the veterinary industry because and in her words exactly “the veterinary service was valued at USD 94.14 billion dollars in 2018 and is expected to be valued at USD 138.66 billion by 2024 working in animal hospital will be more prosperous that any other production industry” it think it’s safe to say Susanna enjoys working with numbers! Outside of work she can be found swimming and listening to classical music. She currently does not have pets.
Donna S is our head Technician who helps all over our clinics. She says she got into this profession because of her love for animals. When she is not in the clinic she is running around her boys to hockey camps, hockey games, hockey, hockey, hockey. When she isn’t doing that she can be found camping and hanging out with her family and friends. She has 2 cats and 1 dog.
Travis Y is the operations manager. Although he doesn’t interact with the animals on a regular basis, he does enjoy seeing them come in and out of the clinics. Travis is passionate about business and people, and finds joy in helping businesses grow through developing both the business as a whole, but more importantly the people inside of it. Travis doesn’t believe that business is about transactions, he believes it is about creating relationships. When Travis isn’t out marketing, thinking about ways to help the clinics, or facilitating meetings you can find him doing calisthenics in the gym, reading personal growth and development books in coffee shops, driving for Uber, coaching and mentoring people in his sphere of influence, and making videos with his go pro for the enjoyment of his friends and family.
